Uncle Wendell is a figment. I have no real uncles and he's filled in that gaping void. He's irascible and has beefs and fits right in with the rest of my relatives. I was confused by the term "beef" when I was a child and wondered why people were so angry about their Sunday roasts . . . I got a beef with you! This is Uncle Wendell's only know existing portrait.

Between the dreams of night and day, there is not so great a difference. C. Jung My degree in Psychology, my indulgence in photography and my porous imagination have come together and spawned my art. No grand gallery showings, no important art schools, just a drive to lay my vision on paper. I'm fortunate enough to remember my dreams and these show up in my paintings. Hence, they are rife with metaphor and symbolism, painted in picture-book colors. My art tells a story, but subtly so. Depending on how the symbols resonate with you, will determine the story you see and the story changes and evolves as your life evolves. They are thoughtful pieces in an often glib world and won't shout at you, but merely beckon to come closer and have a second look.
