This artwork pairs well with another one I've done, called Steppenwolf, as the influences are from Herman Hesse's writings, which are always deeply moving and full of human questions of existence. Narcissus and Goldmund, also known as Death and The Lover (!) ask the ultimate question: What is the meaning of life? I hope this painting can shed some light on this subject: all is well in the end. smiles, wayne
