My artwork emanates from all that surrounds me while abroad in East and West Africa. I create interpretations using stories from indigenous women as inspiration. My work explores unconventional color palettes, bold color contrasts, and womanhood. My subjects are made up of an arrangement of brown color harmonies placed on backgrounds of bold color blocks. I strive to create artwork that enjoins a conversation regarding joy, identity and community. My paintings are complex in shape and color...like womanhood :-)
