The Urim and Tumim were part of a biblical tool of prophecy known as the "Breastplate of Judgment.” This item carried the names of twelve tribes, and during crises, upon meditation, individual letters would light up to display prophetic messages: text messages from above!
Consulting the Urim and Tumim was permitted for determining territorial boundaries.
In our days of current conflicts this provides us a direct connection with a higher source of guidance.

I am a Dutch-born artist residing in New York City. I create works that explore identity, immigration, heritage, tikkun olam, and kabbalah. I hold a Master’s degree in fine art from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, and I have shown in and curated for galleries and museums nationally and internationally, including the Andy Warhol Museum and the Holocaust Center. I've been featured by the New York Times, the New Yorker, and many other publications. I am also the founding director of the Jewish Art Salon, the world's largest community of Jewish Artists.
