I consider this painting to be a design triple threat: a simplified graphic design (my painting style) of a beautiful product design (the reel to reel itself). The third part isn't shown, but this painting is edged in beautiful faux leather and painted tacks - my goal is aesthetic overload! I was inspired to make something minimal - perfect - that pleases the eye, but that also evokes a whole world of music, fun, mid-century design, etc. - a lost world. I think this painting goes great with two other paintings for sale on VanGo - Vintage Bell and Howell Super-8 and 60's Signature Typewriter. My paintings have appeared in "Better Homes and Gardens" publications and at Room and Board stores nationally. In addition to being a painter, I am also a filmmaker living in Los Angeles - my best known film is "Four Boxes." I hope this painting pleases you as much as it pleases me!

I'm a painter and filmmaker who wrote and directed the film "Four Boxes." I've been making and showing paintings for more than a decade. My paintings are for sale throughout L.A., have appeared in various magazines, galleries, and publications, and been for sale nationwide at all Room and Board locations.
