I paint vintage machines. These machines are beautifully designed in the first place, simple and utilitarian. My hope is that my paintings build on that beauty, becoming more aesthetic, more simple, more perfect than the original subjects. Add to all this a pleasing nostalgia for the times when these machines did the work of a world now past. Like all iconic art, I want the viewer to be pleased by it in some indescribably essential way.

I'm a painter and filmmaker who wrote and directed the film "Four Boxes." I've been making and showing paintings for more than a decade. My paintings are for sale throughout L.A., have appeared in various magazines, galleries, and publications, and been for sale nationwide at all Room and Board locations.
