Small country ball park-
These little ball parks are always full of memories and if you listen carefully you can hear the distant crack of the bat or the pop of a
ball in a glove. When ever I pass by I want to stop and capture the memories of all the games played there.
I wanted to paint a little "age" into this image because a lot of these ball parks were built in the 50s and 60's
No frame needed. Painting wraps around sides. .75" deep.
BILL STEWART I'm a retired "Mad Man" from the ad agency business. I love to work in an impressionistic style and have become interested in some of the older and traditional techniques such as egg tempera and making paint by mixing the raw pigments into linseed oil. i enjoy experimeting with various medias and explore areas of a looser, "brushy" style to escape the confines of the tight commercial art word. Living in the San Francisco Bay Area, we are influenced by the vivid, sunlit colors and strong shadows along with scenes sometimes cloaked in fog. I enjoy painting landscapes in plein air as well as in my studio. Also, I love still life, some figurative painting and abstract. I work in both oil and acrylics and some watercolors and dyes.
