This is the 6th painting in my blue series which focuses on the female form, in a monochromatic format of blue.
I went through a particularly melancholy period and decided to borrow a page from Picasso's book and paint in blue to work my way through it as blue seemed to symbolically fit the emotion and mood of what I was feeling.
This pieces speaks to the one you found the most love in, yet totally broke your heart and left you alone, desolate in solitude once again.
As with all my paintings, this is gallery wrapped, the sides are painted, it's wired and ready to hang.
I'm a Denver based visual artist best known for my larger scale canvases. I tend to work in natural-realism and abstract genres; as well as dabble in the pop genre occasionally. I studied under Amy Métier at Metropolitan State University of Denver and University of Colorado Denver in the 90's. I've participated in multiple group and solo exhibits to date in Denver, Manitou Springs, Cherry Hills and Miami. I am the owner of Bitfactory Gallery and Bitfactory Studios and my artwork was used as the album cover for the Carolyn’s Mother album Fridays and Other Small Tragedies, as well as for the upcoming single Boys Like Me and two albums Recovered and Recovering by Mike River.
