I consider my work to be traditional impressionism. I prefer light and realistic pastel colors to create shapes rather than outlining them.
I am very attracted to the old way of painting where everything dries so slowly and I have the chance to go back and rework parts even a week later.
I am very influenced by the work of the French Impressionists. The main reason I paint this way is my satisfaction with the process. I use visible, bold brushstrokes as I sculpt the shape of the subject.
