This was the first painting done of the Massacre series (Winter, Fall, Spring, and Summer). This series paints a picture of violence in the city of Chicago. In the winter time, violence dies down, but the memories of blood remains. The background represents a dark and snowy night and the arteries represent the life in Chicago. The large red section signifies blood of the fallen innocent youth. Gun violence, drugs, and gangs cripple the city.
