Ready to Hang

The last painting done in the Massacre series. Violence mostly occurs in the Summer time in the city of Chicago. The blue and green spots in the background are rival gangs attacking each other and killing innocent youth accidentally in the process. The lines throughout the painting are arteries, signifying life of the youth. The large red portion near the right side is the blood shed by violence and is also shaped like a police officer watching everything going on. Gangs and gun violence still plagues the city of Chicago. This four part series represents a never ending cycle of violence and death in the city.
