Ready to Hang
This painting is inspired by the fact that we are on the side of a giant ball, hurtling through space at thousands of miles a second, and we don't fall off. I have long been a student of Native cultures, and I share their reverence for nature and spirituality. Our culture has lost its deep connection to the natural world and our place within it. My art is influenced by that lost connection, and the loneliness that we feel as a result.
I am also in love with intense color and geometric shapes. These elements have emerged in my most recent work. This piece glows in blue, red, purple and orange. It is textured with papers on the substrate, and by the paint itself. I have signed it on the back.
It is wired on the back and the edges are painted black, enabling you to hang it as is. You may also have it framed if that is your preference. The painting is sealed with gloss art varnish to pull out intense color, and to protect it.
