From my new series of work.. "Live up the moment"

I am intrigued by the lively colors around me with the blooming Flowers everywhere. Just came back from a refreshing holiday... It a very bright and lively mood.the colors look more refreshing in the original artwork. I assure that this artwork can brighten your mood as well as your room. Also the abstract elements and bold strokes in this artwork will keep it interesting for every viewer

The artwork extends to the sides too.brilliant textures formed by impasto strokes. Varnished.

My painting process is emotive and highly energised. Often, I begin a piece inspired purely by emotion and then comes a memory of place and time...it's then that an artwork begins to form. Sometimes I begin and then the piece becomes more abstracted as memory and emotions take over..I move fast and for long periods until I feel the painting has reached a certain point...then I catch my breath, stand back, look, absorb, then off I go again until the piece tells me it’s finished.

I am Vandana mehta. I am Vango Artist originally from Mumbai, India. I have lived in Texas and California and greatly inspired by all the three places. The life, the people and the city draws me towards making art. My paintings are reflections of my nature, memory and emotions. My works are beautifully aesthetic, having an atmospheric feel and are admired. About me: Growing up in Mumbai, so close to the Sea, I was surrounded by beauty and inspiration. I have always been so mesmerized by the dramatic and ever-changing movement of light and Shadow that can so drastically change the natural landscape around me and my own emotions. I love to paint and I have a strong need to create. For me, there are so many different aspects to the creative process...one of those aspects is being Free in what I create and my biggest sources of inspiration is the sky, ocean and human emotions.
