Ready to Hang

This is from the cityscape series. The idea is to show the ever alive city life. It's always bright in here even at night. The neon signs, boards. I also belong to a city n so can say it really never sleeps. This is a small artwork, how ever can be commissioned for bigger sizes.
It's painted using quality, high pigmented and light-fast acrylics and glazes on a quality, 100% cotton canvas.

Signed on the front and back, my paintings are securely packaged, insured and shipped to you
The artwork is stretched, varnished. And ready to hang on wall.

My painting process is emotive and highly energised. Often, I begin a piece inspired purely by emotion and then comes a memory of place and time...it's then that a artwork begins to form. Sometimes I begin with a reference and then the piece becomes more abstracted as memory and take over..I move fast and for long periods until I feel the painting has reached a certain point...then I catch my breath, stand back, look, absorb, then off I go again until the piece tells me it’s finished.

I am Vandana mehta. I am Vango Artist originally from Mumbai, India. I have lived in Texas and California and greatly inspired by all the three places. The life, the people and the city draws me towards making art. My paintings are reflections of my nature, memory and emotions. My works are beautifully aesthetic, having an atmospheric feel and are admired. About me: Growing up in Mumbai, so close to the Sea, I was surrounded by beauty and inspiration. I have always been so mesmerized by the dramatic and ever-changing movement of light and Shadow that can so drastically change the natural landscape around me and my own emotions. I love to paint and I have a strong need to create. For me, there are so many different aspects to the creative process...one of those aspects is being Free in what I create and my biggest sources of inspiration is the sky, ocean and human emotions.
