My paintings represent various emotions and thoughts that I have experienced during my life. They are also depictions of my curiosity about life, death, and everything in between. I try to approach every piece with its own visual presentation. I believe that diverse processes represent my constantly evolving state of being. Each expression I lay down on canvas, leads me to new visual solutions to communicate. Tools I often use in my paintings are metaphors, paradoxes, and symbols.

My formal college-level training started at Art Center College of Design back in 1998. Studying under admired artists such as Scott Hess, Jeffrey Smith, Lorrie Madden, and Gary Meyer was an exceptional learning experience. All of these teachers had one goal in mind: to help me tell a story in visual language. To this date, I still try to incorporate the lessons they taught me into my image-making process. From 2000 to 2013, my artworks were represented by companies such as Disney, Hasbro, EA, DreamWorks, Forever 21, and Mattel. The nature of the works ranged from cartoons to photorealistic renderings within the rules bounded by design theory. By doing this task, I acquired visual vocabularies that satisfied mass audiences in modern popular culture. When I paint, I try to put some of this knowledge into my artwork. Currently, I am in the process of getting my masters degree in art searching for better solutions in the way we communicate visually.
