Considered one of the greatest shows in television history, All in the Family was edgy, groundbreaking and pushed the envelope with its candid look at middle America and the social political issues of the day. But the main reason for the show's success was the conservative loud mouthed character Archie Bunker, player masterfully by Carroll O' Connor. Here we see Archie in the middle of yelling out Meathead. One of a kind rendered in oil. I used a limited canvass on this one.
Hello, I am 53 years old and live on the outskirts of Detroit, Michigan. I grew up and have lived my entire life here. My education and formal training is in communication not the arts. Though I have always been told I have the ability to draw. Due to the seasonal nature of my job I have more spare time in the winter months and out of sheer boredom I decided to take a crack at painting. Over the last 4 years I have immersed myself in oil and the paintings you see here are the first steps in what I hope is a long and satisfying journey. Thanks for taking the time to visit my Vango sight and God Bless. Regards, Tony Elie
