What I love about this painting is it gives the feeling of a transitory moment with the man pointing and the dog looking out at the viewer. The juxtaposition of the man facing one direction and the dog behind him facing the other gives it a humorous appeal, as if they each are wrapped up in their own thoughts.
About Toni McNulty . Growing up in Punta Gorda, Florida where everything was on the water, water skiing, swimming, fishing and most of the streets are still made of brick, my childhood was a very happy one with no shortage of friends in our neighborhood.. My expressive subjects are primarily figures and abstracts as well as interiors, landscapes and still lifes. I love vibrant colors and design, the results are always a mystery, continually surprising and intriguing me. ducation:
