This piece is exploding in dimension. 1st, I crafted the shoreline using molding paste, sand paste, 7 gold leaf. I painted it to look like a sandy beach that waves had just pulled away from. Then I worked on the water area, using pre-molded dried and colored resin shapes to create the feel of a raised wet sand bed in the shallow waters w/ speckles of silver leaf sprinkled to hint at metallics of underwater rocks. Next, I mixed several shades of resin and poured the whole piece. Blue-green went over the water, White for the waves, clear for the sand. Sides painted to match w/ artfully dripped resin.
Although born and raised in Arizona, I have lived in multiple countries in Asia, Central and South America, and Europe. Along the way, as I was exposed to a myriad of artistic styles and experiences, I developed my own style by experimenting over that last 15 years, arriving at my current style primarily focused on resin. My artwork has been sold through the world because of that unique styling.
