The real star of this painting surprisingly isn't even the Humpback Whale Tail, but the golden horizon. I used gold leaf for the horizon so it literally illuminates a fiery gold as light hits it and that lighting changes the painting based on the angle. Contrasting with the brooding dark oncoming storm clouds, this is a scene of peace and tranquility for ocean lovers. Sides are painted to match. See my Youtube for more angles.
Although born and raised in Arizona, I have lived in multiple countries in Asia, Central and South America, and Europe. Along the way, as I was exposed to a myriad of artistic styles and experiences, I developed my own style by experimenting over that last 15 years, arriving at my current style primarily focused on resin. My artwork has been sold through the world because of that unique styling.
