Ready to Hang
This piece began as a boring white box canvas. Using drip mops, the canvas was scribbled with blue and red graffiti tags and drips. Once dry, a layer of white acrylic paint set the fill for the skull and crossbones, then was finished off with bold lines and black detailing with a paint pen.
This canvas is ready to hang but would look even more awesome with a black frame.
I'm a lad who grew up on the outside (suburban NJ) looking in at the world of street art. I broke into the art world through graffiti stickers--slapping my characters up wherever I could. This caught the attention of thousands of people on social media (Instagram: @therealcornelius). I was inspired to work out of my comfort zone and my style began to mature. As of now, I'm a student at Drew University majoring in economics but continue to pursue my passion in art whenever I have free time. This includes designing logos and graphics for companies and curating my very own solo art exhibition that took place in January.
