Ready to Hang
My interpretation of when buttons are being pushed. Lots of color, lots of emotion and lines and borders begging to be broken. This is one of the first purely abstract paintings I've done. It is finally finished and dry and ready for shipping. It is painted black on the sides and wired on the back and it ready to hang as soon as you receive it. It is 24" high and 18" across, at a depth of 1.5". It has been varnished with retouch varnish and is well protected.
I have been painting quite a lot lately and selling, or attempting to sell through various avenues, with some amount of success. I try to do at least one painting each and every day, though it is usually more like three or four paintings a week. I'm getting there though. I paint in a classical realism style, with the occasional nod to the impressionists. I am starting to dabble in abstract and it is coming along. Most of my paintings are still life paintings and the odd landscape or seascape here and there and in the near future some figurative works. I am a retired real estate agent in Las Vegas, NV. I have left that life behind me. I feel more alive when I have a brush in my hands and creating a thing of beauty. For some, the most pressing question they have during their working lives is, "how am I going to afford to retire?" I am a full time artist and immerse myself in art every single day and never once think of retiring. I would love for you to be part of that journey.
