I am a daily painter (more like three or four paintings a week) and one of my favorite subjects is apples, lemons, cherries and other assorted fruits and vegetables. This one is two apples that were such friends I couldn't bring myself to split them up.
I have been painting quite a lot lately and selling, or attempting to sell through various avenues, with some amount of success. I try to do at least one painting each and every day, though it is usually more like three or four paintings a week. I'm getting there though. I paint in a classical realism style, with the occasional nod to the impressionists. I am starting to dabble in abstract and it is coming along. Most of my paintings are still life paintings and the odd landscape or seascape here and there and in the near future some figurative works. I am a retired real estate agent in Las Vegas, NV. I have left that life behind me. I feel more alive when I have a brush in my hands and creating a thing of beauty. For some, the most pressing question they have during their working lives is, "how am I going to afford to retire?" I am a full time artist and immerse myself in art every single day and never once think of retiring. I would love for you to be part of that journey.
