This mixed media painting is on a piece of 9 x 12 Bristol paper. The title of the piece is influenced by a Willie Nelson breakup song and there is also lyrics from the song incorporated into the painting. It's definitely one of my darker pieces but there is also hope in this piece as well. The hope is represented by the line pulling the drowning skull out of the whiskey river to safety or should I say soberness.
