This piece may have some hidden symbolism behind it with the huge explosion and the cowboys calmly watching as if it were a campfire. Not sure where I was going with this piece, maybe the painting symbolizes America going up in flames or maybe it represents gay men in the US and them burning down boundaries.

Terry Urban is an American artist and musician who lives and works in NYC. Urban’s style is most influenced by Abstract Expressionism, where he is not interested in an accurate execution of his subjects, but rather in exploring the possibilities of abstraction.
