This is an original mixed media painting on a fairly large canvas that measures 72 x 48 and is ready to be hung. The title and subject matter refers to the artist Salvador Dali and his nickname Avida Dollars. André Breton coined the derogatory nickname "Avida Dollars", an anagram for "Salvador Dalí", a phonetic rendering of the French phrase avide à dollars, meaning "eager for dollars".
