Ready to Hang
Muted tones of green, brown, orange and yellow give this painting a more traditional feel. This painting has very little texture. There seems to be a calmness presented in the painting.
I am currently enjoying my idea of a great artistic life. I own a century+ building that houses my studio/gallery, which I named Home at Last Studio.

As a shy child, I was the happiest when coloring, painting, gluing and creating my own little world. As an adult, I have participated in the art field for decades. I owned a decorative painting business for much of that time. Specializing in commercial and residential murals, decorative finishes, and decor art. I have also taken many private commissions for smaller projects, as well as numerous community art projects. Several years ago, my husband and I returned to our Missouri hometown after a 35 year absence. We purchased a 100 year old commercial building on the downtown square. I was able to open a small folksy studio/gallery. Complete artistic freedom! The days were filled with the entertaining tourists, introducing art to our community, planning fun art events, and of course, painting. We have recently relocated to Georgia and I look forward to exploring art venues and working with the art programs throughout the state. With each change in my surroundings comes unlimited inspiration. My work in the past has been mostly inspired by the ordinary, and the often overlooked daily items. I am sure those interests will continue. However, the freedom of abstract painting calls out to me also. At this point in my career I will continue to explore and grow in whatever direction that inspires me. I consider this one of the perks of a lifetime of creativity. *All images Copyright T.
