The painting is oil on paper. Its has landscape of a desert like the great Indian Thar desert in Rajasthan. The sky is clear and wind impact can be seen on the sand as well as cloths of women. These women are villagers and are carrying water pots. They are wearing traditional dresses (ghaghra, choli, chunri) and faces are covered as per the tradition as well as to handle the harsh weather of the desert. Normally, in hot deserts water is an scarce resource and woman also called panihari use to walk to distant deep wells to get drinking water for consumption.
Self taught artist, creative and love to express myself with my art. Since my childhood, I was having great interest in art and craft. Alongwith my education for pre-med, then graduation in Computers and now a career in Banking, I always pursued drawing/ painting /sketching as my hobby. It works like a stress buster for me. I have worked with pencil, colored pencils, chalk/charcoal pencils, oil pastels, wax crayons, soft pastels, oil paint, acrylic paint, watercolor and poster colors. I belong to the State of Rajasthan in India and from childhood liked to make paintings of Bani Thani style. Love to draw sketches. I also like to make paintings of Landscapes and many a times try drawing my favorite celebrities portraits :) I'm still in learning stage and learning a lot from .YouTube and trying different techniques presently.
