Ready to Hang
This is an acrylic painting done while visiting the Cape this summer. I paint on cradled birch panels that are 1.5" deep. The sides are painted a dark grey color to coordinate with the painting. This piece does not need a frame, it's ready to hang on your wall. I am fascinated by the movement and color changes of the sky over water. I'll pick an overcast sky for painting any day, so much more drama and interest. This painting is signed on the back.
I have been a full time professional artist for almost 20 years. I began my career as a wallpaper and fabric designer and currently still license my work to the home furnishings industry. I find peace and comfort in the simplicity of landscape and abstract work. I enjoy the combination of texture, color, line and form and am fascinated by the changing moods of nature. Painting is a meditation of sorts for me. You can find my work at major furniture stores, galleries, and private collections around the world. My work can be seen on numerous HGTV shows and sitcoms such as “How I met your Mother” and has been featured in Ethan Allen galleries across the country. I have been featured in Coastal Living magazine, Cottage & Bungalows magazine, Traditional Homes magazine and Art Business News.
