Second in a series of 4 paintings exploring the relationship between man made and organic objects. The kayaks and canoes exist harmoniously amongst the live oaks and palmettos of the South Carolina coast.
Suzanne Aulds is an award-winning artist with a B.F.A. in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA, where she graduated summa cum laude. She also holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and an A.E.C. in Interior Design from the International Academy of Fashion and Design in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Aulds worked for many years as an interior designer in both Canada and the United States, while also periodically accepting fine art commissions, primarily for paintings. She returned to school in 2008 to pursue a degree in painting, and has exhibited all over the United States since that time. She now paints full-time from her home studio in Hilton Head Island.
