Only the good has depths that can be radical. Hannah Arendt
My humanistic philosophy and my critical reflection on modern society does reflect in my art.
The abuse of power is the subject in my art. In my paintings I'll try to express this with wit and formal grace.
Also my acute awareness of political history and political presence are woven together.
I think I have a highly evolved personal style, which is consistently visible in my paintings.
I try to combine bravura with a haunting delicacy and spontaneity that simultaneously evoke emotional, sensual and intellectual realties.
It seems like personal emotions. Personal is also universal.
My name is Susanna Schulten. I'm an accomplished painter from Berlin. I do have a serious education in painting, and a solid background in existential philosophy. These elements in combination with an acute awareness of political history are woven together in my work. I hope to reflect my humanistic philosophy with wit and formal grace in my art. I would like to reflect humorously on modern and contemporary society.
