As a kid growing up, we loves to play under the laundry and feel the water dripping, feels like rain. Simple fun stuff like playing with castle boxes.
Painting either helps me fill in the some of the blanks in life or hemp it up. My studio is like a time machine and it is like traveling without leaving. Anything is possible, elephants can have wings. I can create a voice where there is none, or a image where there is none. The reward when someone see your painting and are filled with emotion is very gratifying. I am a ophan so when someone can relate to what I do or when what I do can relate to someone, the feeling is very special almost magical.

Susan Goh a self taught artist was born and raised in Singapore and currently resides in Arizona with her husband Bill and four wonderful dogs. Susan's Chinese name is 吴 思 宇 (Goh/Wu Si Yi) literately means thinking of the universe or cosmos thinker which is what she is like when she is painting. For most of her life, she was caught up in the fast paced City-State lifestyle of her home in Singapore and then later traveling the world with her husband for his work. Now her paintings reflect a culmination of all these experiences. Goh's art is a true reflection of her unique personality. She celebrates life with color and expression. Inspired by her ideas and things around her she transfers them to the canvas. Mixed media allows the artist to incorporate textures and depth producing energetic result which reflects her passion. She puts her creativity and thoughts onto the substrate translating it into something concrete and functional. Emotions translate into colors, colors into texture, texture into form and form into depth. The steadfast rhythm of energy and passion surround her as she paints - her playground registering yesterday, creating today and dreaming about tomorrow. When asked about her goal, Goh says: 'My vision is to share the beauty of art with the world. I believe that art brings people together regardless of race, language or religion - Art is a universal language spoken from the heart with the stroke of a brush.' Goh welcomes you to her playground and she is happy to share this joy and energy with you from her heart to yours. If you dream and believe you can......... you will.
