Sometimes the rain is a gift, when the garden is cracked and thirsting. sometimes the rain is a flood, sweeping flowers far downstream. still, we plant. still, we look at the blooms with wonder. we don't control. sometimes we stand. we stand and watch it rain.

Although classically trained, my method of painting has become increasingly intuitive. My inspirations range from the detrius of a city street or forest floor to deep questions of meaning and purpose. At the heart of my work is a desire to convey hope -- an antidote to the barrage of negativity which invades our culture. I love acrylic paint and mixed media, and color . . . lots of color.
