The little birds have been tearing up my window screens and flying off with mouthfuls of strands from the screens to weave into their nests. This nest from a previous year fell from one of the trees. I took it as a little repayment and saved it to use in a painting. It seemed like a perfect companion for my shell collection. They once provided shelter for nature's creatures. They now hold memories instead. Relics of summers past.
