Ready to Hang
Helmand #5 explores a darker side of the human mind and its interaction with conflict and war. Dark thoughts are intertwined with the visions of hope and future. This is a one of a kind experiment in introspection 2 years in the making. UV Varnished for longevity and protection. Fully painted sides make this piece ready to hang and become a centerpiece.
I began painting at a young age and art is a significant part of my life. It is a meditative activity that allows me to take the images and concepts in my mind and actualize them. I am heavily influenced by the American masters of Abstract of the 1950's and 1960's, along with the color beauty of the Impressionists. I am a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and I want to use art to show the beautiful and human side of our existence, outside of conflict. A portion of all proceeds from the sale of my art pieces goes to various local and national causes that support my fellow Veterans. Thanks for your patronage and support.
