Fuji is one of the many varieties of apples I painted to explore the great choices we have when we go to the grocery store. I love the subtle differences in colors, flavors and textures. Just like art! This is done in oils on an archival RayMar panel and will need to be framed.

There's a compulsion to interpret visual moments for this painter. The hope is that a special moment can somehow be preserved forever. I love working in oil paints. They are challenging and forgiving at the same time. Color, texture and light are the main components that I try to give center stage. And then sometimes I just paint a simple painting without much thought at all. It's all creative process.
