I wanted to create a modern interpretation of the Greek/Roman goddess Artemis.
I loved that this particular character is not only a tough huntress, but also a protector of young women. So I wanted to portray that in her portrait by giving her some mystery and muscle while still showing some youthful femininity.
The background of this piece is textured to give an allusion to a starry night.
My name is Stefani Slaughter. Thanks so much for visiting my portfolio. Im a traveling artist who is currently living in the mountains of West Virginia. I love watercolors because they travel well and I love the ethereal aspect they give. I suck at explaining things and talking about my work, but the whole reason I became an artist is because I always have had such a hard time converting my thoughts into language. The Visual arts gave me a way to express my thoughts without having to use cumbersome words and escape misunderstanding. Feel free to contact me via my website stefanislaughter.com
