"The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls." -Pablo Picasso
My family, my children, my life and life events are what spark my interest to paint. From vacations that we have taken to the pains and beauty of childbirth; all inspire my artwork. I remember a memory and create a vision off of it and begin to create my art piece.
I studied art when I was 7 years old with a local artist whose inspirations were of Pablo Picasso. I learned how to draw "Picasso" faces and shade colors with various techniques. I always loved art and continued to sketch, draw and submit my painting in various school displays and contest. As I became an adult I continued to draw here and there, but what inspired me most was my children, I took a one-night art class and brought my painting home, from their my boyfriend, and family inspired and encouraged me to continue to paint. As visions sparked in my head the last few years I have just grabbed a canvas and painted.
