The title of this piece is meant to convey the message that in today's highly visual world with touchscreens and displays, that music can convey just as much through sound as visual displays can.
I created this piece to remind ourselves that music and sound are just as powerful as visual displays when invoking emotion and ideas.
Inspiration for this piece comes from an advertisement released by Maxwell in the 1980s.
My name is Sonam Mahawar and I am a freelance artist. While this is not my profession, it is my passion. Faces are usually my subject of study when I paint. It is there that the most emotion is expressed and capturing that on a canvas is my greatest joy and challenge. Art is the purest form of expression, including all mediums. I hope to express my feelings, thoughts, and ideas with you through drawings on a surface. A quick anecdote while you're perusing my profile: Being left handed in my culture is secretly looked down upon. It is out of the ordinary, non-dominant, sinful. My parents chose to ignore those ridiculous cultural notions and celebrated my uniqueness instead. I still have an news clipping my father saved detailing famous people who we're left handed. This unrelenting support is what fueled me to pursue skill in painting and drawing. I love being unique in that way. It makes me feel closer to the many offbeat and special artists that have come before me.
