18x24 Oil on Canvas. Like most of the artist's work, Blue was inspired by the colors, calmness and chaos of the ocean. Varying cool tones and blue hues are complimented by the fluidity and texture of the oil paint. This abstract piece was created with a unique paint application process of using palette knives rather than traditional paint brushes, giving it beautiful surface dimension. The composition was influenced by the principles of dynamic symmetry, creating multiple focal points and depth - similar to that of the ocean.
