This piece was a dedication piece to Wesley, the giraffe that was recently euthanized at Zoo Miami after a tragic accident. Wesley was only 7 months old and very curious when he got his head stuck in a fence and in a state of panic he jerked his head which caused irreversible spinal cord damage. The damage that was done to his spine caused him to not stand properly and loose his balance. Unfortunately giraffes that are unable to stand do not survive very long. They decided to humanely euthanize him. This piece is acrylic on canvas.

Hello, my name is Shivangi Patel and welcome to my portfolio. I am 23 years old, currently going to college for pharmacy but art is my true passion. I've been passionate about art since a young age and now because of Vango, I have a platform to present my artwork. Acrylic paintings is something I do regularly, usually abstract paintings, but I am always on the lookout for new inspirations.
