The reason I chose the title for this piece was the lack of civilization surrounding this little pond.
I created this piece in 2015.
My inspiration in creating this piece was to try my hand at palette knife painting.
I admire bold knife paintings and I'm perfecting my technique by starting small.
My name is Shirley G Campbell. I am a Vango artist. I grew up in the midwest in a family of artists. I have been drawing and painting all my life. I am mostly self/taught but studied briefly at the Memphis College of Art ,and Broome Community College. I also studied and attended workshops with Master Artists Ilya Lerner, Hall Groat II, Dominic Avant, Morgan Samuel Price, and Margaret Egli. I love plein air painting and am a member of the Light Chasers of Sarasota plein air group. I continue to attend workshops and am a member of the Arts Alliance of Lemon Bay in Englewood FL, where I am a displaying artist and the July 2015 Artist of the Month.
