The live oaks in Florida (the old ones) just keep spreading and spreading, until the form canopys over roads and fields and sometimes just extend their 'arms' out as far as they can. They create wonderful shadows in the blinding Florida light.
My name is Shirley G Campbell. I am a Vango artist. I grew up in the midwest in a family of artists. I have been drawing and painting all my life. I am mostly self/taught but studied briefly at the Memphis College of Art ,and Broome Community College. I also studied and attended workshops with Master Artists Ilya Lerner, Hall Groat II, Dominic Avant, Morgan Samuel Price, and Margaret Egli. I love plein air painting and am a member of the Light Chasers of Sarasota plein air group. I continue to attend workshops and am a member of the Arts Alliance of Lemon Bay in Englewood FL, where I am a displaying artist and the July 2015 Artist of the Month. Thank you for visiting my portfolio.
