Number Two in the Geishas Gone Bad Series. In this iteration the 17th century ukiyo-e Samurai is NONE too pleased as our 21st century Geisha lights up using a decidedly NOT inexpensive ceremonial fan. Never mind the quilted purple robe or the similarly colored bustier. One must pick their battles, even from the 17th century! Bet she inhales!
My name is Shawn Shea. I am a Vango artist. Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I have been painting since I was seven. Have owned an illustration studio for many years and am now working full time as a fine artist providing the highest quality art to galleries, collectors and private commission clients. This first series of paintings here on Vango are my take on the Mid Century Modern retro aesthetic. Have always loved retro, noir, tiki sensibilities and LOVE exploring the genre. I hope you enjoy these and will follow me as I explore them and also appreciate the landscape and wildlife fine art I'll be showing, also. Looking forward to sharing my art with this community. Deep gratitude for taking the time to look at the work.
