Drawing of the figure on found paper.
My artwork consists of a fragmented amalgam of objects and themes that reveal upon childhood fascination and adult fixation on culture, humanity, and propaganda. Using this theme as my foundation for development of art I explore the possibilities of concurrence in fundamental art practices that implore the idea of innocence in childhood play combined with the work ethic and processes associated with adult production in art. In my fabrication of art I collage together the possibilities and impossibilities derived from inspirations taken from memories (altered and real) attained in childhood and adulthood that explore notions of good and evil, death and life, right and wrong based upon fragmented data gathered from exploration and reflection on society. My depictions act as simulacrum for human behavior, cycles of violence, and life situations. I work in video, painting, drawing, print, and combine them for installation pieces.
