I am fortunate enough to be surrounded by friends and family in Denver. Most of the time our home is the center of activity where my nieces and nephews all play in a huge oak tree that sits between our home and our neighbor's. It's limbs carry 2 swings that no child (little or small) can resist swinging on as they pass. Greta is the only little girl on our street and is always content swinging away with her blond hair wildly flying in her face while the boys chase each other around the yards. Ever the daredevil, she squeals with laughter as she entices all of the adults to push her higher and higher. This painting is a nod to the little kid in all of us, especially my favorite little blond daredevil, "Greta Boo".
I have spent the last decade working in adventure travel, particularly safaris in East Africa. I grew up with a sketchbook or paintbrush in hand. At Boston College I majored in business but did a concentration in art in order to stay in touch with my creative side. I have always been obsessed and inspired by colorful art from all over the world. I love bringing pops of color into spaces. Contact me if you would like a customized piece.
