Ready to Hang
My favorite place to be is on safari. This wildlife collection is inspired by the years I have spent in Africa. When the weather is hot and the animals are on the horizon an optical illusion of movement dances in the heat waves. This particular piece was inspired by one of my favorite animals on Earth. Over the years I have adopted many elephants for my nephews. It gives the kids a chance to grow knowing about an elephant in Africa. They get updates and pictures on how the elephant is doing from infancy. My dream is to be able to take my nephews to Kenya someday to be able to show them an elephant in its natural home. The name comes from the illusion of seeing the silhouette of an eagle in between the trunk of the elephant and its front legs. Two incredible and endangered species in one painting. This piece goes great with any of the other 12x12 paintings in this collection. Hang 3 together for the perfect wild arrangement on a wall.
I have spent the last decade working in adventure travel, particularly safaris in East Africa. I grew up with a sketchbook or paintbrush in hand. At Boston College I majored in business but did a concentration in art in order to stay in touch with my creative side. I have always been obsessed and inspired by colorful art from all over the world. I love bringing pops of color into spaces. Contact me if you would like a customized piece.
