My favorite place to be is on safari. This wildlife collection is inspired by the years I have spent in Africa. When the weather is hot and the animals are on the horizon an optical illusion of movement dances in the heat waves. This particular piece was inspired by a walk I took along the beaches of Lamu in Northern Kenya. Camels lounge along the beach escaping the afternoon sun. I love the feeling of being on this exotic island where cars are not allowed and the only way to get around is boat, bicycle, camel or donkey.

I have spent the last decade working in adventure travel, particularly safaris in East Africa. I grew up with a sketchbook or paintbrush in hand. At Boston College I majored in business but did a concentration in art in order to stay in touch with my creative side. I have always been obsessed and inspired by colorful art from all over the world. I love bringing pops of color into spaces. Contact me if you would like a customized piece.
