If you have been to downtown Denver, you have no doubt seen the Big Blue Bear that peaks through the Convention Centers windows. It stands several stories high and is one of the cutest statues in any major city I have been to.
This nod to the Big Blue Bear captures the windy days weather we are known to have up here in the mile high city. The moss colored stripes represent the convention center that this bear is spying on. The piece was made with paint brushes, knives, straws and good old fashioned gravity.
It's the perfect piece of art for a Colorado home or office, or for anyone that misses their Denver roots.
I have spent the last decade working in adventure travel, particularly safaris in East Africa. I grew up with a sketchbook or paintbrush in hand. At Boston College I majored in business but did a concentration in art in order to stay in touch with my creative side. I have always been obsessed and inspired by colorful art from all over the world. I love bringing pops of color into spaces. Contact me if you would like a customized piece.
