519 Castro Project is a triptych of gender queer portraits. The portraits are for the benefit of residents of 519 Castro and part of a fundraiser to form a queer nonprofit collective in the heart of San Francisco's Castro district.

Selma is an artist and a technologist. She has worked in film and animation studios where concept artists taught her to paint, draw and sculpt. Selma enjoys contemporary realism and likes to paint classic paintings with a modern or ethnic twist. Selma lives in San Francisco, CA where she works in tech. She uses digital photography and compositing to create a references for her paintings.
