I usually paint two main styles of art. The first is landscapes. While living in southern New Mexico I became enthralled in the natural tones of the skies against the rustic landscape. My favorite view was always the large storm clouds that came rolling in over the mountains against the stark blue skies.
The second type of paintings I create are peacock feathers. Peacocks were quite common in Southern New Mexico and roamed around the local parks. They would walk right up to you hoping that you brought the a treat. I was obsessed with their colors especially at disk when the sun would strike their backs. As I would walk around them and change the angle of my head the colors would shift and were so brilliant. I don't think Ill ever tire of trying to capture that beauty, while knowing I might never quite succeed.
